How to receive your Lump-sum Refund

directly at Incheon Airport!



 

Who is eligible for the

Lump-sum Refund for Foreigners?

 

You must meet

one of the following three criteria to apply.


Social Security

Agreement

Citizens of countries

that have a signed agreement

with Korea regarding Lump-sum Refunds.

Reciprocity

(Mutual Refund)

Citizens of countries that provide

Lump-sum Refunds to Korean nationals

under similar conditions.

Specific

Visa Status

Holders of E-9 or H-2 visas.




 

When can I receive it?


In principle, it is paid

when you return to

your home country permanently.

Therefore, you must provide

proof of your departure.

 

Note

If your departure is within 1 month,

you can apply in advance

by providing your flight ticket as proof.



 

To get your refund in cash at the airport

"Pre-application is MANDATORY!"


You cannot receive the refund at the airport

without applying beforehand.


Where?
Any National Pension Service(NPS) office nationwide.

 

When?

Within 1 month before your scheduled departure date.

 

Required Documents

Passport, Alien Registration Card(ARC),

e-ticket(flight ticket) copy, and

a copy of your personal bankbook(as a backup).

 

Note

Your employer must file

your "Resignation Report"

before you can apply!

 

Make sure to keep the

"Application Receipt" after applying.

 


 

Step 1.

Receive the Payment Order

 

First, visit the NPS Incheon Airport Office.

 

Important

Even if you are departing from Terminal 2,

you MUST visit the office at Terminal 1 first.

 

Location

Incheon Airport Terminal 1, 1st Floor(Arrivals),

between Exits 1 & 2

 

Hours

09:00 ~ 18:00 (Please arrive by 16:00)

 

Required Documents

Application receipt, Passport,

Flight ticket.

 

Upon verification of

your required documents,

you will receive a "Payment Order"

to submit to the bank.



 

Step 2.

Receive the Exchange Receipt

 

Before passing through security(immigration),

submit your "Payment Order" to Woori Bank

in the general area.

 

The location depends on the amount.

 

Under $10,000 (Closes at 21:00)

Visit the Woori Bank Exchange Booth.

(T1: 3F near Counter H / T2: 3F near Counter A)

 

Over $10,000 (Closes at 16:00)

Foreign exchange declaration is required!

Visit the main Woori Bank Branch.

(T1: B1 Level / T2: B1 Level)

 

After submitting your "Payment Order",

you will receive an "Exchange Receipt"

 


 

Step 3.

Final Cash Collection


After completing the immigration process

and entering the Duty-Free Area,

you can collect your cash!

(T1: Near Gate 11 / T2: Near Gate 250)

 

Hours

Closes at 21:00

 

Present your "Exchange Receipt"

(from Step 2) and your Passport

to receive the cash. You're all set!



 

Please keep these in mind!


Pickup Service Availability

(By Departure Time)

Terminal 1: Available from 10:30 ~ 24:00

Terminal 2: Available from 11:00 ~ 24:00

Not available for early morning flights,

weekends, and public holidays.

Currency

Payment is available in

16 foreign currencies (USD, EUR, CNY, etc.).

Korean Won (KRW) is NOT available.

 

What if I miss the pickup?

If you are unable to collect the cash

at the airport due to a lack of time,

don't worry!

 

The money will be safely transferred

to the bank account you provided

during your pre-application within one month.


Please review the information provided carefully,

and make sure to collect your lump-sum refund

at the airport on the day of your departure!
